Since 2007, the Ultra-Light Acoustic has been one of Traveler Guitar's signature instruments and a perennial bestseller. It captures everything our brand stands for: Full-scale playability, uncompromising portability, and the freedom to make music wherever life takes you.

Designed from the ground up for life on the move, it delivers full-scale playability in an impossibly compact package while producing very little acoustic volume when unplugged—perfect for practicing almost anywhere.

At just 28 inches long and weighing under 3 pounds, the Ultra-Light Acoustic fits easily in airline overhead bins, car trunks, hotel rooms, dorms, and anywhere else your adventures take you. Plug it into your favorite amp, interface, or headphone amp, and you've got a travel companion that's always ready to play.

Whether you're catching a flight, heading to the campground, or simply looking for a guitar that's always within arm's reach, the Ultra-Light Acoustic makes it easier than ever to take your music with you.

FEATURES:

  • Ultra-Portable Design: Only 28 inches long and under 3 lbs., making it one of the smallest and lightest full-scale acoustic travel guitars ever built.
  • Full 24.75" Scale Length: Enjoy the familiar reach, spacing, and feel of a standard acoustic guitar without the bulk.
  • Private Practice, Anywhere: The Ultra-Light's minimalist design produces very little acoustic volume when played unplugged, making it ideal for late-night practice, hotel rooms, apartments, backstage warmups, and anywhere you want to play without disturbing the people around you.
  • In-Body Tuning System: Our patented headless design relocates standard tuning machines into the body, eliminating unnecessary length while using standard strings and tuners.
  • Piezo Pickup: Plug into an amp, audio interface, or headphone amp for rich, natural acoustic tone wherever you play.
  • Neck-Through-Body Construction: A one-piece Eastern American hard maple neck-through-body design delivers excellent sustain, strength, and long-term durability.
  • Detachable Lap Rest: Provides a comfortable playing position while seated, then removes in seconds for maximum portability.
  • Standard 1/4" Output: Connect directly to your favorite acoustic amp, recording setup, effects, or portable headphone amp with no special adapters required.
  • Gig Bag Included: Every Ultra-Light Acoustic includes a compact gig bag designed for grab-and-go travel and storage.

NOT an acoustic - kwitcher kiddin' - still good

"C'mon guys. It's NOT an acoustic. The volume, even with flat or finger picks simply isn't there. That said, I bought it for travel and for that purpose it's almost exactly what I wanted. I also got the Traveler mini amp and that works well. I generally run it into my regular pedals and amp and the pickup is quite adequate. One large caveat - because the rear peg for the guitar strap is ALSO the output jack it's MUCH bigger than a standard peg. I had to Dremel out the Ernie Ball snap lock because it just wouldn't go over it. Guys, is it too much to have a separate jack and peg? Really? Also, when using a strap, it will nosedive since the neck is much heavier than the body even with the body extension on. I'm using a neoprene strap and it still slips. These are not HUGE problems, but they seem like they could be fixed. You KNOW this thing really doesn't have enough airspace to be an acoustic - you should either stop saying that it is, or just add some weight to the body to make it hang level."

Surprisingly high quality.

"I wasn't sure what to expect from a travel guitar, but, honestly, this thing plays better than most of my full size guitars at home. Great action, incredibly easy to fly with, pickup sounds surprisingly great. First impressions are great!"
