EG-2 Standard Electric Guitar w/Gig Bag

$499.99

A FAN FAVORITE. REIMAGINED.

Inspired by one of the most iconic electric guitar designs of all time, the EG-2 Standard channels the feel, tone, and unmistakable style that players have relied on for generations, but in a compact, travel-ready form. With its familiar double-cutaway silhouette and versatile pickup configuration, it delivers a playing experience that feels right the moment you plug in.

Built on a timeless foundation and refined for today’s players, the EG-2 Standard features an improved, larger arm rest, deeper belly cut and more comfortable edge bevel. The newly designed body is not only more ergonomic, but slightly lighter than the original EG-2. We’ve also responded to customer feedback and installed standard passive electronics for an unadulterated tone and a solid metal output jack for durability. This is a proven design, thoughtfully evolved.

Features:

  • Intuitive Controls: Volume & Tone with a 3-way selector switch.
  • 2 Single-Coil Alnico Pickups: Clear, dynamic tones that cut through the mix.
  • 21 Jumbo Frets: Smooth playability with easy access across the fretboard.
  • Alder Body: Balanced resonance with classic tonal warmth.

Wow - what a fantastic guitar

"Decided to take the plunge and buy a guitar i can take with me for when i am on business trips and in hotels. I never really liked the looks of most travel guitars, but this EG-2 caught my eye. Couldn't beat the price, plus free shipping. Arrived in just 3 days, and I haven't been able to put it down. So light and comfortable. Bought this for the sole purpose of travel practice, but not sure I can go back to a full size guitar again. They feel so big and heavy now. I might just start a collection of these things. Anyway, this thing is fantastic. Love it."

Perfect!

"My Black second generation EG-2 arrived last night. It was ordered directly from Traveler. The build quality is OUTSTANDING! Action, intonation, neck relief, neck pocket fit, finish. . . If there is a flaw I can't find it. No Fender or Gibson every showed up here this good (I do have a Japanese Prestige Ibanez which might be even nicer for it's transparent finish. . . ). It was in-tune, maybe a half a step off. The tuning is smooth, easy, and very stable. I did my daily repertoire practice and discovered the body, while small, sits perfectly and gives my right arm a comfortable place to rest. I was fingerpicking, strumming, and playing lead lines. All of which never felt like it would be more comfortable seated with one of my full sized electrics. The pickups have an output level approaching a PAF style humbucker, my personal preference on my full sized electrics. For me they were not overly bright and sounded great. If you put a JBL Bandbox Solo in the gig bag along side the neck. You are ready to go and certainly loud enough to play in a larger jam session against acoustic instruments and polite electric players."
