Pro-Series Standard w/Gig Bag

$399.99

The Pro-Series represents the original Traveler Guitar® production model and remains a standard of innovation and design for travel hybrid guitars. The proprietary In-Body Tuning System uses standard tuning machines relocated into the body, eliminating the need for a headstock. You get the same full-scale playing experience you're used to on an instrument that's substantially shorter and lighter than a typical full-size electric.

Great little guitar

"I've had this guitar for 2 months, and have taken it on airplanes, to work, and open mics. It's great for quiet practice and for when you need something portable. After the open mic, people were curious about the guitar and were surprised at how nice it sounded."

Helps me establish and keep a training routine

"I decided to pick up guitar and create a 'habit' so that I would practice every day and progress. However, also a busy guy with lots of travel, and this traveler Pro-series allows me to bring it on every trip. Fits easily in the overhead bin of a plane. Allows me to keep my practice schedule, no excuses!"

excellent but could be even better

"Outstanding innovative use of real-estate to create a reasonable sounding and easy to play guitar. But it could benefit from new technology and ergonomics. For example: If using a strap, you should be able to play it without moving the knee brace out of travel position. The pickups/electronics could be improved, the strap knobs could fit a strap better/ give it a 3. 5mm headphone jack instead of the stethoscope thing. . . . But still - a really solid option for a travel guitar."

It’s ok

"Light weight and more importantly …. Very solid. I had A mini guitar by Cordova that I like but it was slightly crushed in the overhead compartment. This one won’t go out of tune or suffer crush damage. Two things I don’t like about it …. Sounds absolutely dreadful in the headphone amp that I have …. Very accentuated string scratch … very annoying. And WHY ??? Would you design the carrying case to look like a sub-machine gun. I travel a lot and have been stopped numerous times by TSA worldwide asking me to show them what is in the case. Especially in the Middle East … I suppose the design could be worse if available in camouflage. Absolutely worst design choice ever. At least make the case look like a guitar. I now walk around with the case open so people can see it’s a guitar. To me this is an international incident in the making. The only other time I had this much of an issue is when I bought bagpipes in Scotland and then hand carried them through the rest of Europe. At any rate, very poor design choice."

Great product. Pro build quality.

"Excellent instrument. I have owned a lot of nice instruments in the past and wanted something portable without sacrificing playability. This fits the bill nicely. It travels very well and it’s extremely versatile. The setup was perfect right out of the box, strings stretched, intonation spot on, good fret job. The finish is nicer than I expected and the stock tuners are perfectly adequate. I was playing scales while my wife slept in the same room and it didn’t bother her one bit."

HOORAY Pro Series Standard Guitar!

"I am a 65 year-old lifelong musician. Multiple health issues have made it necessary for me to think outside the box. After countless hours of research, I purchased a Pro Series Standard guitar, modified with locking tuners. The process (purchasing, shipping, etc) was straightforward and smooth. Jake has been very patient and informative. This little guitar is clever! I've never owned a headless guitar until now. It is a breeze to play! The stethophone and I have wrestled just a bit, but we are figuring each other out. The 1.75 inch nut width facilitates my fingerstyle playing effectively. I highly recommend this specific guitar and Traveler Guitar as a company."

Dr. Dr give me the news

Worth the extra $50

"I've been looking for a space saving guitar and so I tried the standard ultra light version they had at the nearest guitar center (the only place that was carrying a Traveler brand guitar). I liked it, and almost felt bad leaving it behind, but the only color they had was black and I've got a special place in my heart for seeing the natural wood grain. So I found a local music club and ordered the pro series of the ultra light model traveler guitar, and am exceptionally pleased with what the $50 more on the price tag gets you. The stethoscope attachment is super neat. And the volume/tone nobs and the pickup switch are super nice to have as well. They aren't just for show, they greatly affect the sound you get out of this wonderful little guitar. It's my new best traveling buddy (besides my dogs)."

Buy this guy, it’s amazing

"I’m a longtime Steinberger guy, needed a good guitar to keep handy. Talk about surprising! The neck is easily one of the best I’ve played, perfect shape, smooth finish, I’m actually using it on stage alot, thing’s a shred machine, solid as a rock. The only change I made was the locking tuners. Those are pretty much necessary for me. Otherwise……"
