Could have been great
"First, EXTREMELY OVERPRICED, the finish looks good and the guitar looks fine, however it's made in china and super creaky, because of: Second, the lower part is a completely separate body (Speedster Deluxe) and moves around and creaks, but THE LOWER PART DOES NOT DETACHES which is the dumbest thing to have. Third, the electronic buzzes like hell on the lower range, so the tone is only usable from 7 to 10, any other setting buzzes the line. And there is no way to power it down, yes for the life of me I can't find a way to power down the electronics, other than yanking the batteries (it uses two AA batteries). And there is no manual to tell you what each thing does. No tuner either, and that is a very cheap and needed thing to have, that could have been at the back panel. Fourth, unless you have the physique of a child, it's uncomfortable to play the guitar while sitting. It is too small to be placed on the leg and if it touches something, it creaks (because the lower body moves around). But, to play it while standing, it has the strap anchor at the top body part, that's another part that creaks, and because it's holding the guitar, it creaks a lot more. Fifth, there is a small strap at the head, to hang the guitar, it is fastened with a extremely cheap nylon zip tie... seriously. Sixth, the case is super cheap, offers no protection, no flannel inside, the zipper came already worn out at the edges just because of handling it. It sounds good for a traveler guitar, great string, great pickups, and the full neck is always a plus. It just doesn't compensate the overprice. Simple changes that could have save it: - detachable lower body, just put a connector there and make it detachable, and even more portable. - locking mechanisms, so it doesn't creak, plus we don't have to be screwing the parts with bolts that will get lost, guaranteed lost. - power on/off switch. - proper manual, even a one pager would suffice. - a case worth it. something that will protect the guitar on the travels, something though out for it, like having slots for the body parts to reduce the side profile. - strap and picks. just put your brand on it, but provide them. (the batteries where included, but no pick? no strap?). Context: along with the Speedster Deluxe ($550), I bought a Cordoba Negra GK ($700), that sounds amazing, the cords are superb, the wood is a work of art, it has onboard tuner with several EQ knobs, the semi-rigid case with impact protection, flannel interior, double zipper, even a small pillow for it's neck, comes with 6 picks and the strap. So in comparison I found the Traveler to need some improvements."

Easy as Plug and Play
"I'm a beginner and this was my first guitar. I wanted something I could play quietly without disturbing neighbors, but I still wanted a rocking electric sound. The Speedster seems perfect - it looks great, the headphone jack is ready to rock, and it's easy to tune and jam. I'm really excited to learn (and it pairs great with my old vintage Skullcrushers!)"
