Works only with batteries

"I have the same issue as Felipe B. : "… negative point from my point of view is the fact that […] you cannot have the raw sound of pickup […] without the built in amplifier process. " Any tips how to "fix" this? Happy to do it myself. Otherwise, great guitar!"

Very decent construction and pickup, but. . .

"I'd say this is a very interesting solution for practicing and travels. You’ve got practically everything a single-pickup guitar can offer you in a very compact body. Is also came decently adjusted both scale and bridge. The built-in headphone amplifier sounds ok for headphones, not great, not bad. Don’t even try to plug into a high-powered line. Main negative point from my point of view is the fact that the P10 output is exactly a replication of P2, which means you cannot have the raw sound of pickup at the P10 plug without the built in amplifier process. I had to give up of warranty and “fix” the circuit myself, but I’d really encourage Traveller Guitar to work only with the direct output from pickup to the P10 plug."

I love it. Awesome Guitar

"The guitar is the perfect size to travel. My wife uses a wheelchair so my standard Ibenez acoustic/electric guitar is too big to fit in my trunk with her chair easily. I got the EG-1 over the Ultra-light acoustic because I wanted to play it with family campfires and sing-a-longs. I thought if it needed amplification anyway I might as well go electric. (My first electric BTW) I also like the back of the body cutaway for the strings being protected on the sides. I got a 8 watt mini amp and a wireless transmitter/receiver set to go with it. It plays great. I have practiced with it, and plan on taking it to our family reunion this summer. Love this guitar. Perfect size for me. Thanks Traveler! Only remiss is; I wish it came in other colors. Especially Purple. 😉"

Pretty good guitar, mine did have one issue.

"My EG-1 had a horrible buzz on the first fret of the D string when played open. Other than that it was perfect. Unfortunately, the slot on the nut for that string was cut too deeply and the nut had to be replaced and the guitar re-setup."

Awesome aftercare! 15 years with EG-1

"I purchased one of the original EG-1s (S#EG-04113) in 2009. I've now moved to Japan, and since the only guitar I could safely carry-on was my trusty Traveler Guitar, it's been my go to axe. Unfortunately, the back cover with hardware was lost during the move, but after a simple email exchange, Traveler Guitar sent me the replacement part free! Makes me want to support this great outfit even more, and will be purchasing the Travelcaster!"

Toshi T. (5/5)

"Excited to play this right out of the box. It has amazing playability and feel despite being the size of a toy. I’m excited to be able to take it on the road with me and not have to lug a massive hard-plastic guitar case around or worry about the durability of a gig bag in transit."

B-I-N-G-O!!!

"Oh. My. Gosh. I love it. Totally digging the full sound in a smaller size. Thrilled with the dynamics of the fret action and speed that you can move up and down the board. Shallow action and precise acoustics, with a great big sound through the amp (got the 5w amp for fun). My wife reads and I need to be a bit quiet so she can do that, the headphones amp lets me enjoy music while she enjoys reading...Win-win. I like the size. I really like the balance and how it sits with my posture...uhm, easy to play on the couch. The full size fret plays wonderfully. I had to tune it out of box, but it is a hot summer and I appreciate the lack of tension on the strings. I was surprised at how easy it is to reach the tuners. Play this thing, you will like it. I look forward to traveling with it. I play for me and I am lousy, but this little hatchet makes me happy. Thanks Traveler Guitars, you checked my old-man boxes and I appreciate the quality of your product. I am real pleased, and my poor fingers are already sore, which is awesome. Good sound and size!"

Excelent instrument

"Thanks for all your support in the shipping process, I love the guitar and the color and comforting it is"

Uziel G. (5/5)

Awesome guitar!

"This quality of this guitar is great. The shipping was fast. The icing on the cake was the locking tuners that I ordered seperately were already installed when the guitar arrived! They went above and beyond my expectations."

Travel guitar

"I have literally destroyed this guitar in a year. BUT that’s a good thing!! I love it!! It needs new knobs and I broke the plastic molding that is over the input jack. That being said, I will either fix it or buy a new one. I love playing this guitar, it is so much easier for me than a full size. The built in gain is awesome and for metal sound it is perfect!!!"
