"Satisfied at this time."
"I’m a new guitarist and it’s been great having this to practice on while traveling. Arrived perfectly tuned and has been easy to keep in tune. It’s been, surprisingly, easy to take through TSA and jam in over head bins in plane. Looks and sounds great. I just ordered a small amp so I can play without headphones."
"Love it. Excellent playability and very good electronics."
"Wonderful instrument. Well made. Beautiful. Very hard to put down. Beautiful sound. Extremely playable"
"I am a professional player and own 3 Traveller guitars. The electric Travelcaster, the electric EG-1 and this model, the Mark III acoustic. In my experience, only the Mark III is of high enough quality to perform with. The sound and playability are shockingly superb. But HUGE CON: changing the strings--the individual plastic "circles"/rollers fall off way too easily. Why they are all individual pieces I don't understand. Should be all one piece, like a bridge. So you have to be EXTREMELY careful when changing strings, and only do one string at a time, to keep the other rollers in place while changing strings. Once they fall off. . . disaster time. Con number 2: you can NOT leave a cable plugged in to this guitar, or it will totally drain the batteries within hours. Forget it plugged in at soundcheck, and by evening performance, the guitar is DEAD. It will not produce sound through an amp or PA unless the batteries have juice, and leaving it plugged in (while off) kills the batteries. Another annoyance is it's not easy to put your fingers inside the cavity to turn the tuners. BUT. . . The guitar is incredibly lightweight and super comfortable to play, and the quality for professional performance IS there. The piezo pickup sounds GREAT believe it or not, and when used on stage with professional amps/pa/pedals it will shock you at how incredible it sounds. As someone who does a lot of down the neck soloing and slides on acoustic, the neck is excellent. It's smooth, glides well, and you can feel the mahogany resonate through to your thumb when you vibrato notes. You can really get a lot of control over slides and bends too with this neck. Another HUGE ADVANTAGE this guitar has, is no headstock in the way when you're crosspicking or soloing up at the neck. Lots of other guitars it's a very tight squeeze. Another plus is you can plug in earphones and practice anywhere without an amp, and it will sound as if it's through a PA or amp. So despite the annoyances of the cons, the mahogany Mark III has become my #1 on-stage acoustic guitar. Believe it or not, I replaced my Martin D-45 with this one for on-stage. I wish I could say the same about the electrics though. Those aren't even fit to practice with. I have no idea why the quality is so high on the Mark III but so terribly low on the EG-1 (that one turned out to be a real dud). But these are my honest opinions. I would love an electric version that's as great as the acoustic Mark III but the two Traveller electrics I purchased are just very, very poor quality and I'm not willing to spend any more money trying any other models (I can only find these online; can't try them at the local music store)."
"I just purchased the Escape Mark III to replace my regular sized guitar and love the size and workmanship of the Traveler Guitar! It’s a pleasure to play and convenient to practice without disturbing those around me. Thank you for developing such a cool instrument!"
"Very happy with the guitar. I like the quality of the instrument, good sound and very well set up."
"I underestimated it a bit because of its size and other aspects, but I loved it. The minimal sound has helped me practice. I don't know what else I can say. It's a very complete guitar, it's simply perfect."
"1st travel guitar that truly feels full scale. Set up is great - action feels like my "normal", expensive guitars. Couldn't be happier"
